According to laptop manufacturers the best way to increase battery life is by taking out the battery when it is fully charged... that is when you r running laptop on ac power take out the battery and run laptop directly on current....

The only problem is in case power goes off..... then .....

It is also harmful to the battery if the laptop is always run on ac power... it is necessary to run it on battery at least once a week.. i.e., run on battery reduce the battery charge to 20% to 30% then charge.....

it works... i do it.... its more than 2 yrs and i didnt have a battery problem... were some of my friends r having problems....
